It is obvious to anyone and everyone who poseses natural talent in the realm of art. I know there is no such thing as "natural talent" and that this is me just making excuses for my lack of talent in general. But there is so much to accomplish. It is daunting..Looking at amazing artwork from peers can be exciting, inspirational, and an overal positive experience. However, it can also be intimidating, disheartening, and unnerving.

To have a passion for art is something beyond words. To have something keep a strong grasp on you like that, and even if you want to let go it wont let you. Then, having people encourage you to take your art to the next level and go to school for it, make a career out of it...Basically dedicate your life to it because you can do what they try to and fail miserably. After being encouraged, you take a look around you, naturally, to see what you're up against, or perhaps you look around to be inspired. And while you look at these other so-called "talented" and "gifted" peers' art, you see nothing but shortcomings in your own.

I understand, one can never stop improving in the world of art. Art can never be perfect. It can be pretty damn close, but no art in the world is perfect. No art ever will be. And that is part of the beauty of it. But, it is so hard to attempt to attain the unattainable when all you see is obsticles. When you see how many things need to be improved, and how few things you can actually do well.

And now, I shall take all of my flaws one at a time and improve them over and over until I can no longer muster the strength to do so, which might be my dieing day, if not in body, then in soul.
